Village Deli Update
Here’s a flash from Bob Costello, owner with his wife Kari of the Village Deli. The Costellos have been given the go-ahead by their insurance company to begin rebuilding the Bloomington institution, damaged by fire Sunday, January 25th.

“The weather’s getting in the way,” he tells me. “We can start anytime but this is the worst possible time to do construction.”
Costello estimates the rebuild will take three to four weeks. His soft target date for a re-opening is right after semester break. Indiana University students come back from their misc. debaucheries Monday, March 23rd.
