and what are we angry about today?

    Good plan.

  3. Carolyn, I almost violated my own commandment not to commit to print anything that at that moment is making me extremely personally angry. I wrote out three comment drafts and discarded them all. Then I wrote a personal email to the object of my anger. I didn’t send it immediately, promising myself I’d wait till noon to see if I felt the same way then. At that point, Pat Murphy walked into Soma and I told him about the situation. He said Don’t send it, ignore what made you mad, and forget it. He was 100% correct.

Mr. Murphy is undoubtedly correct, but you are a good man and I’ll bet the anger is richly deserved. I’m dying to know what it is, maybe you find a way to express it metaphorically. I got this from book of quotations: “The best cure for anger is delay.” -Seneca

That’s exactly right, count to 10, get your head on straight… and when you are ready, serve it up cold. I may have gotten this advice from The Godfather, so be sure to ignore it!
